The 2014 Florida Strawberry Festival

The 2014 Florida Strawberry Festival will take place from February 27^th to March 9^th in Plant City (just a twenty-five minute drive northeast of Tampa). This year’s theme, “Florida’s Best Family Recipe” revolves around food, fun, and family, and has inspired plenty of events and activities for students and teachers to see and do when they arrive at the festival! Along with celebrity appearances and musical performances from some of today’s hottest country acts, field trip groups will encounters exhibits displaying the best of Florida agriculture, commerce, industry, livestock, fine arts, horticulture, and crafts as well as social events, contests, youth developmental programs, and parades with beautiful floats and lively marching bands.

With so many things to see and do, where should your class begin? Well, it wouldn’t be a festival without some great rides! Students who stop by the Belle City Midway on the fairgrounds will be able to speed, soar, and enjoy these heart-racing rides like the Monkey Maze, Moonraker, and Big Bumper Boats. Don’t forget the roller coasters! Students will race through the Festival on the Zyclon Coaster and many more! Class field trip groups visiting on designated Ride-a-Thon Days like February 27^th and March 2^nd through the 6^th will be able to ride on most of the mechanical rides for one low price!
